Franklin Kisberg
A Principal in Den Ventures, Mr. Kisberg has over 20-years of strategic and operating experience, process improvement, change management and enterprise transformation in telecommunications, publishing, healthcare and marketing service businesses, with a proven track record of revitalizing under-performing companies.
Mr. Kisberg is the President of Den Healthcare, and is responsible for managing the firms healthcare portfolio which has included Professional Anesthesia Consultants, a pioneer in ambulatory anesthesia services; DermDx Centers for Dermatology a Pennsylvania based multi-office dermatology practice; and Firefly After Hours Pediatrics, an after-hours urgent care practice that treats children, adolescents and young adults needing acute medical care in the evenings, weekends and on holidays.
Prior to joining Den Ventures, Mr. Kisberg acted as the Chief Operating Officer of NACIO Systems, Inc., an application development and managed hosting company, as it emerged from a Chapter 11 reorganization plan. Working with the CEO and President, he helped transformed this engineering company into a market driven company, as it doubled in size, growing to profitability in eighteen months.
Prior to that, Mr. Kisberg was the Founder and CEO of Enterprise Marketing Solutions, Inc. a pioneer in the ‘pay-for-performance’ sales and marketing industry that developed and implemented customized marketing and technology solutions on behalf of such clients as AT&T, AOL Time Warner, Comcast, Cablevision, Primedia, Reader’s Digest, Times Mirror, BMG Music, Citibank, MBNA, Novartis, Pfizer and Johnson and Johnson to drive customer acquisition, deliver business improvements and increase the profitability of customer relationships.
Mr. Kisberg led the leveraged buyout of Sand & Simon, Inc, a 65 year old owned manufacturer and importer of apparel accessories. Mr. Kisberg negotiated exclusive category licenses for proprietary technology that enabled the company to develop unique channels of distribution in highly fragmented markets. The Company grew revenue to $15 million from $3 million with operating margins of 38% before the sale of the business.
Mr. Kisberg is an Advisor to the CEO of BigVAULT Storage Technologies, a provider of a proprietary subscription-based online storage, remote backup and recovery, and collaborative file sharing service. In this role Mr. Kisberg led the company through the transition from a technology driven to marketing driven organization, negotiating co-branded licensing agreements with Cablevision Systems and Verizon to allow the Company to bring its service to market with a high level of credibility.
